Lent

LENT

Ash Wednesday Mark and I decided to go to the evening service at the local Anglican Church to

celebrate the begining of Lent.

It was a beautiful service and made me realise just how much I miss the 'bells and smells' of a more

traditional denomination.

Took communion for the first time in years, what a liberating and humbling experience it was.

Today we went again to the Anglican Church to the 10am service which is held each Friday.
I think that we shall be attending on a regular basis.

Block of the Month

I am currently working on a fabulous quilt, receiving a block each  month from Material Obsession in Sydney. The block I am doing is by Sue Ross and is called 'Let's Twist Again'.
Each month I get a package of wacky prints and the pattern and templates. Delicious!

A portion of the finished quilt...not mine !!

Here are photos of block 1 and 2. All finished. There are a total of 9 blocks in all. Only 7 to go!
